Biographies: Inside Michael Janac’s Story?
Michael Janac, managing director of Clutch, a company specializing in direct marketing strategies in the greater DMV area. Janac graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Marketing and Management in 2010. Before starting the business, he had played football at Marshall and eventually played all the way up to the professional level.
As an athlete, Janac loves to win. His winning mentality has carried over to developing his business and team members. Janac explains his philosophy saying, “I teach all day long…I create game plans for my employees based on the needs of our clients. I find opportunities for them every single day.” Janac’s daily life is filled with teaching his ‘team’. He wants to make sure that they are able to succeed and have the same opportunities that he has received.
One of Clutch’s HR Executives, Rachel, believes that Janac has a strong vision for his goals. He is able to take the strategic steps to get to what he wants. Janac and Rachel have supported each other in many cases by combining their strengths and weaknesses. Rachel speaks to Janac’s vision when she states, “He’s helped me focus on my main goal despite outside distractions.” To Rachel, Janac is a great mentor and has been able to develop her as the HR Executive of Clutch.
Being a businessman, Janac knows that nothing comes easy. “I’ve learned a lot about being patient and prepared. I can’t win right now; I understand that I need to prepare myself to finish first. It’s all about the process.” Having a great understanding of how to develop a business, he has a goal to retire by the age of 32.
This year, Janac is nominated as the “Rising CEO of the Year.” The award is intended to be given to an individual businessman who has successfully helped clients. Clutch has helped the Comcast DVM region stay in the top five within the industry.
Janac’s ambition not only led to individual success but has also allowed him to set others up for success as well. He has displayed his ability to empower others by expanding and promoting three of his executives into new offices in Dallas, TX, Charleston, SC, and Portland, OR just last year.
Advice from Michael Janac:
